Gilbert Hale Nutt has been practicing law for over 50 years in the Louisville area. He has represented thousands of injured individuals in auto accidents, slip and falls, work-related injuries, etc. Gilbert Nutt was in the United States Air Force, worked in the JAG Department from 1962-1965 and served on active duty.

Timothy McCarthy has been practicing with the Nutt Law Office in Louisville, Kentucky, for the past 19 years. Mr. McCarthy’s specialty is plaintiff personal injury, which includes automobile accidents, premises liability, product liability and medical malpractice. Mr. McCarthy is an experienced trial attorney and has handled appeals at all levels in Kentucky, including the Kentucky Court of Appeals and Kentucky Supreme Court. Timothy J. O’Dea Jr.


Timothy J. O’Dea Jr. has been an attorney with the Nutt Law Office for the past 17 years. He primarily focuses on Social Security/disability, wills, probate law, divorce, child support, business acquisitions and general contract matters.

Practicing in Kentucky since 1992, Mr. O’Dea has successfully represented numerous corporations, businesses and other individuals in both state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Mr. O’Dea has successfully represented numerous individuals in obtaining their disability benefits from the Social Security Administration.

Walter H. Martin


Walter H. Martin has been an attorney with the Nutt Law Office for the past four years. He primarily focuses on personal injury claims with an emphasis on injuries suffered in motor vehicle accidents and slip and fall cases. He also handles minor criminal matters, including DUIs.

Prior to coming to the Nutt Law Office, Walter H. Martin’s primary practice was federal tax law with a concentration on tax-exempt organizations. He was a senior manager at KPMG in their Cleveland, Ohio, office. He also served as a federal agent with the U.S. Border Patrol and taught high school for several years. Walter H. Martin started his legal career with a small personal injury firm in Hart County, Kentucky.

Ronald E. Ray


Ronald E. Ray was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 1974 and has been in practice with the Nutt Law Office since 1998. He was previously employed with State Farm Insurance and worked in the claim department as a bodily injury specialist. Mr. Ray’s practice is involved exclusively with the handling of personal injury claims. Mr. Ray has a working knowledge of Spanish education.
